Bysouth Consultants are an independent consultancy established by Geoff Bysouth in 2011. We specialise in providing advice relating to the use, care and repair of natural stone, complete project management solutions for historic building projects and freelance services for consultancy practices and contractors. We have full public indemnity insurance and are members of Stone Federation Great Britain.
Our base in Bedfordshire allows us easy access to London, the south-east, the midlands and East Anglia and we are happy to travel further afield if required.
Geoff Bysouth has a Postgraduate Diploma in Building Conservation from the College of Estate Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building. His career in the stonemasonry and building conservation industries spans more than thirty years during which time he has worked on some of Britain’s finest historic buildings. Formerly a Director of stone specialists JBysouth Ltd, he has held positions in some of the leading contracting companies involved in stonemasonry and building conservation as well as managing conservation and refurbishment projects in both the public and private sectors.

Stone Consultancy
As independent stone consultants we are able to offer impartial advice to clients on all aspects of the stone industry based on wide experience of working with stone on a diverse range of projects. We understand the language and philosophy of building conservation whilst having experience of large scale new-build projects. Our skills and experience enable us to work with equal confidence on listed buildings, ancient monuments, private houses and modern developments.

Building conservation projects demand a different approach to other types of building project and this is where our knowledge and experience are best utilised. We provide comprehensive project management services for historic building projects from inception to completion. We are happy to work as part of a client appointed team or to assist in bringing together the specialists required.
